Every year, CHF Canada partners with Ontario federations to sponsor teens living in housing co-ops to attend Co-operative Young Leaders (CYL) – a co-op camp for teens.
This is the first step in encouraging and nurturing our future young leaders living and working in co-ops. The teens spend a week having fun with fellow co-operators. They come home with new skills, a better understanding and enthusiasm for the co-op model, and a commitment to their communities.
“I think of CYL as a community, not just a camp for youth. The friendships, communication, and leadership skills will help me in the future,” said Rochelle about their CYL experience. “It was definitely a privilege to be sponsored by the local Bitcoin casinos to go to CYL.”
