Sinon, lorsque cette aide prendra fin, la sant\u00e9 et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des membres de coop\u00e9ratives, surtout les a\u00een\u00e9s, les N\u00e9o-Canadiens, les Autochtones et les personnes souffrant d&rsquo;un handicap mental ou physique, seront menac\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Faisant \u00e9cho \u00e0 son m\u00e9moire pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en ao\u00fbt dans le cadre des consultations pr\u00e9budg\u00e9taires au Comit\u00e9 permanent des finances, intitul\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/chfcanada.coop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Pre_Budget_Brief_2015_Aug5_2014_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vivre selon nos moyens : des solutions abordables pour les coop\u00e9ratives d&rsquo;habitation du Canada<\/a>, la FHCC a demand\u00e9 au gouvernement de prendre les mesures n\u00e9cessaires pour s&rsquo;assurer que ces Canadiens vuln\u00e9rables puissent demeurer dans leur logement.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLes coop\u00e9ratives seront confront\u00e9es \u00e0 des co\u00fbts de r\u00e9investissement importants lorsque leurs accords prendront fin\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la FHCC Nicholas Gazzard. \u00abElles sont pr\u00eates \u00e0 assumer ces co\u00fbts et le nouvel endettement qui sera requis pour restaurer les infrastructures vieillissantes. Nous demandons au gouvernement de collaborer avec ces coop\u00e9ratives : nous nous chargerons des b\u00e2timents, les gouvernements se chargeront des personnes. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLe gouvernement a fait un petit pas \u00e0 court terme en vue de rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 ce probl\u00e8me en permettant aux coop\u00e9ratives d&rsquo;habitation de l&rsquo;article 95 qui avaient de l&rsquo;argent dans leur fonds de subventions exc\u00e9dentaires de conserver cet argent lorsque leurs accords prendront fin. Mais seulement un petit nombre de coop\u00e9ratives seront dans cette situation et ce n&rsquo;est pas la solution durable dont les coop\u00e9ratives ont besoin\u00bb, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 M. Gazzard.<\/p>\n<p>La FHCC et les f\u00e9d\u00e9rations r\u00e9gionales de coop\u00e9ratives d&rsquo;habitation travaillent de concert dans le cadre d&rsquo;une campagne intitul\u00e9e \u00ab<a href=\"#\">Vous d\u00e9tenez la cl\u00e9 \u2013 r\u00e9glons la crise des coop\u00e9ratives d&rsquo;habitation<\/a>\u00bb. Cette campagne demande au gouvernement de cr\u00e9er et de financer des programmes de suppl\u00e9ments au loyer \u00e0 co\u00fbts partag\u00e9s de longue dur\u00e9e, qui seront mis en \u0153uvre par les provinces et les territoires (et par les municipalit\u00e9s en Ontario). Cette aide financi\u00e8re peut \u00eatre attribu\u00e9e progressivement, au fur et \u00e0 mesure que les accords existants prendront fin.<\/p>\n<p>La FHCC est la voix nationale du mouvement de l&rsquo;habitation coop\u00e9rative du Canada. Elle compte parmi ses membres plus de 900 coop\u00e9ratives d&rsquo;habitation sans but lucratif et d&rsquo;autres organismes \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle du Canada.
